One of the most theatrically compelling elements of commercial Tiki design is TROPICAL LIGHTING. Oceanic Arts created some of the most creatively unique lines of accent lighting over their early years. From their inception in 1956, Bob and LeRoy aspired to create a multitude of new lighting products to set them apart from their competitors. Some were perennial favorites and some were one-off test items. By the late 1960s, their roster of lighting products had grown to the point where OA chose to publish a costly commercial product catalog to increase their sales beyond what had up until then, had been exclusive to walk-in customers of their Whittier warehouse showroom. 
 
For the first time since their opening, OA could mail out a sample catalog of their lighting products to commercial clients around the globe. In fact, this was their only true lighting catalog ever produced. Around the same time, they produced their general product catalog that included carvings, accent décor and raw materials. Both early catalogs are extremely scarce and have sold for high dollar amounts in both the auction and secondary markets. 
Within these pages is the wide range of creative lighting offered by Oceanic Arts, both in-house and custom products from such artists as BARBARA TOBECKSEN and ELI HEDLEY. This art directors’ reference is over 25 pages with photos and filled with great information.
 
We acquired the OA paper and art archives. Hidden within the rafters at OA was the remaining back stock of these splendid original catalogs. For a limited time, we are making this stock available to the Tiki fan-base in a reasonably priced VINATGE OA PAPER BUNDLE!
